Table Games

Last checked:

Table games are the part of a Canadian casino where the rules on the felt, not the software, decide what a session costs. Every section below leads to the same three questions: who regulates the site, what the table pays, and how the play is treated once a bonus is attached to the balance.

Regulation is provincial, and it changes what recourse a player has rather than which games appear. In Ontario a site needs registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. In Alberta the regulator is the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission, whose commercial market opened on July 13, 2026. Elsewhere the provincial lottery corporation runs the only domestically regulated option. The minimum age follows the same map: 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, 19 in most other provinces, applied online exactly as it is on a casino floor.

What the table itself pays is set before a card is dealt. Blackjack is the clearest case, because the deck count, the payout on a natural and the dealer's rule on soft 17 each move the house edge by a measurable amount, and the guide sets out how much. Roulette is decided by the wheel layout, baccarat by which of the three bets is placed, and bingo by the size of the room. Live dealer tables stream a physical game instead of generating one, which changes the pace and the minimums rather than the arithmetic. On a random-number-generator table the deck resets the moment a hand ends, so nothing carries from one round to the next.

The trap is the promotional balance. Table games routinely count at a reduced percentage toward a wagering requirement, and some are excluded altogether, which is why a bonus accepted on a slots offer can be impossible to clear at a blackjack table no matter how much is staked. The arithmetic behind that sits in the guide to wagering requirements and game weighting, and the cashier side — which rails pay winnings out and which only take deposits — is in payment methods.

Every brand on this site is matched against the regulator that actually licenses it — AGCO with iGaming Ontario in Ontario, AGLC in Alberta, the provincial lottery corporation elsewhere — and we read the payout, bonus and verification terms in full before the page goes up. There is no Canada-wide casino licence, so we name the province each time.

Some outgoing links earn us a commission. It never buys a place in a table or a better score: the order comes from the checks set out in how we rate. Spotted something out of date? Tell the editors.
